Why have your wedding filmed?

Hopefully if you’re reading this you have already been convinced that having a professional video of your wedding day is not only a good idea but an absolute must! But if you need further convincing please read on….

From our experience, and those of many of our clients, we know that all those months of preparation that go into organising the perfect day culminate in a day that flies by in a flash, especially for the bride and groom. This is why we feel that a film of the day is so important. Also, given the fact that your wedding day may well be the only time that you’ll ever manage to get all of those people who are so special to you together in one place at one time, having the day professionally filmed and edited will capture the spirit and essence of the day in a way which photographs alone find it very difficult to do.

Chris Morley Video Production has experience in filming weddings of all kinds, whether that be within the christian faith, or from any other faith or background. We also have a female videographer in our team who is rapidly gaining experience in filming traditionally women only ceremonys such as Asian Mehndi's.

Unlike many other wedding video production companies, we don’t specialise solely in wedding video production. We see this as a great benefit as it enables us to keep our eyes, ears, and minds, open to new styles and techniques which, in turn, helps us to keep our wedding videos looking fresh and original.

We have 5 years experience in filming weddings and, through personal recommendations, have taken our services outside of the Bristol area to locations such as London, Devon, and Cornwall.

Our approach and style.

Our moment of glory comes when we hand over the final DVD to the newlyweds – and not before! On your wedding day we remain in the background. We will video your special day in any style you wish but, by default, our style can be described as natural, reportage/documentary, and unobtrusive. We let the day flow and capture things as they happen. We focus on the special couple primarily, but also on the many special people who you have invited to share your special day, resulting in a beautiful film that captures the sights and sounds of the day as a whole.

The digital equipment that we use means that there is no need for artificial lighting of any kind. We use discrete radio mics to pick up the sound during the service and speeches.

Our final DVD’s are presented in the very best quality DVD cases, using the very best in DVD media, along with a custom designed cover.

Our cameras.

Many of our clients comment on how clear, and natural, the picture is on our films. this is mainly down to the type of cameras we use. We use two digital Panasonic DVX100BE's and a Panasonic HMC151 (HD), the cameras of choice for many an Independent film maker. The reason why it is so popular with Indie film makers is because this type of camera can shoot in a way that replicates true analogue film capture, called 'progressive'. We won't bore you with the technical details but, basically, progressive shot footage looks a lot more natural to the eye, and a lot more like anything shot using analogue film (still most Hollywood films), plus it's higher resolution. It's a subtle difference but one that a lot of my customers have picked up on.

Booking us.

You can get in contact with us with any questions, or to check our availability, either via the contacts page of this website, or by giving us a call on 07854 952330. Should you wish to go ahead with the booking we will ask you for a deposit of £200 to secure our services. After the initial consultation and planning is done we normally don't get in contact again until about 1 month before the wedding when we check for any changes to the original plan, and organise meeting up at the rehearsal.
